​​Patricia Irene Michael Flynn
Patricia Irene Michael Flynn passed away after a long bout with Appendeceal cancer on February 17, 2016 surrounded by her family.  Patty was born in San Diego on August 30, 1952 to Robert and Nira Michael.  They later moved to Lead, S. D., where her father worked in the Homestake Mine.
 Patty was blessed with two sons, Chris and Lee.  Patty met the love of her life and best friend, Steve Flynn and they were married in 1988.  Together they raised their family that included Chris, Lee, and Steve’s daughter Jenny in Deer Lodge.  
Chris contracted cancer when he was eight years old.  Chris required extensive treatments in Salt Lake City and Missoula.  Patty was forever grateful to the Community of Deer Lodge for their support and generosity during Chris’ treatment.  
 Her approach to life was to be kind and helpful and to lead by example.  Her work career covered several jobs, most of which were in the banking/account management disciplines.  She worked for Peoples Bank, Fickler Oil and First Security Bank.  She helped many people improve their financial positions by using her patience, commonsense and compassion.
Patty was the type of person who made many friends and volunteered for many organizations such as Chamber of Commerce president, Deer Park Golf Course Board, Hospital Auxiliary, Tax Appeal Board, and volunteered for many other civic functions.    Patty loved to sew, she made many beautiful quilts and table runners.  Sewing Retreats were very special times for Patty. She loved to golf and bowl and has many fond memories sharing those times with friends.
Preceding Patty are her son Chris Barton, father Robert Michael, stepfather Sonny Nichols, sisters Cherye and Helen, brother Rick.  In-laws Ray and Betty Masters, Jerome Flynn and Lucy Flynn and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Patty leaves behind her husband and best friend Stephen Flynn, son Lee Barton, stepson Darryl Barton and family, stepdaughter Jennifer Lerma and her daughters DeZiar (Josie) and Zoe. Mother Nira Nichols, sisters Pam (Adam), Bobbie, Stella (Steve).  Many wonderful in-laws and countless friends.
Services will be Sunday February 28 at 3 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Deer Lodge with interment to follow.  Reception will be at the Elks Lodge in Deer Lodge.
Memorials in Patty’s name can be made to charities of the donor’s choice.

Daunne LaVonne Muehlhauser Newman Murphy
​Daunne got her angel wings on February 20, 2016 after a long and gracious battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born Daunne LaVonne Muehlhauser on October 13, 1947 in Grantsburg, Wis. She was the seventh of nine children born to Lester and Verona Muehlhauser. Daunne moved to Montana with the family in 1956. The family first lived in Whitefish, then Eureka, and finally Deer Lodge. She attended Powell County High School in Deer Lodge graduating in 1965.
Daunne married Edward Newman and from that union was born Chad Robert Newman and Tanna Verone Newman. Later Daunne married Dr. Philip Murphy and from that union was born Autumn Elaine Murphy Hobley.
Daunne was preceded in death by parents, Lester and Verona, niece Sammi Lynn Wilson, grand niece Salina Muehlhauser, three brothers-in-law, numerous aunts and uncles, and special friends Bob Cowan and Deb Leitzow Jette.
Daunne is survived by her children and their families;  Chad R. and Hae Ok Newman and children, Jade, Summer, and Zayne - daughter Tanna Newman and children, Tera and Patrick Pomeroy, Patrick’s wife, Leanne, and children Brody and Estella -  daughter Autumn Elaine Murphy Hobley, husband Sam and children, Weston and Ainsley.
Daunne is also survived by two brothers and six sisters; Zoe Dittman of Green Bay Wis., Bruce and Ione Muehlhauser of Grantsburg Wis., Gayle Rosensteel of Greensburg, Pa., Kay and David Kallman, Grantsburg, Wis., Jan Henry and Carol Muehlhauser of St. Croix Falls, Wis., Jill DeSpain of Portland, Ore., Lynn and William Higley of Bellvue, Colo., Sue and HerbWarford of Florence, and many many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.
Daunne cowgirled for area ranchers for years and participated in the “Boots & Lace” drill team.  Daunne was active in the community and involved with the fair, 4-H, and horse shows until declining health would no longer allow. She could sew like a tailor, cook like a chef, deliver calves, and buck bales with the best of them.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Deer Lodge Center for their phenomenal care. Daunne had become an advocate for residents and staff at the center during her stay and the mutual caring benefitted all.

Dewey Coleman
Montana State Prison inmate Dewey Coleman #11747 died on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Lewistown Infirmary in Lewistown of natural causes.  He was 67 years old. 
Mr. Coleman was sentenced out of Rosebud County on 11/21/1975 for the crime of Aggravated Kidnapping and Deliberate Homicide.  He received a sentence of Life without Parole.

​June Anderson
June Anderson, 79, of Helena passed away at her home on January 16, 2016. June was born on June 7, 1939 in Deer Lodge to Charles and Louise Brenton. June was raised in the Deer Lodge Valley and later moved to the Swan Valley where she spent many years.
She then moved to the Helena Valley where she worked at St. Peters Hospital in the medical records department until she retired.
June married Irvin Anderson in 1985, they spent most of their time together in the great outdoors, traveling, camping and fishing with family and friends.
June is survived by her brother Jim (Sherry) Brenton, son Doug Johnston, grandson, James (Sarah) Wallace, great grandchildren: Keeler and Chloe, many nieces and nephews including Michael, Keri and Sammy. June also had an extended family which were closer than most families, a daughter, Patty Kalaski (Lynn and Chad), Jim (Brenda) Anderson (Chris, Tracy and Travis), great grandchildren: Bryer, Jase and Addison. Also many good friends, Karla Kahn, Marge Shandy, Audrey Tallon, Delores, Je and Carol Rainville, and Beverly Pickett.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Anderson, her parents: Charles and Louise Brenton, daughter Debbie Wallace and sister Rose.
A service will be held on February 12, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Jewell’s Funeral Home in Deer Lodge. There will be a luncheon immediately following at Opportunity Community Club.

Zyzmick Tregeagle
Montana State Prison inmate Zyzmick Tregeagle #28469 died on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula.  An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.  He was 44 years old. 
Mr. Tregeagle was sentenced out of Coos County, Oregon on 10/20/97 for the crime of Homicide.  He received a sentence of Life without Parole.  
Tregeagle was an Oregon inmate who was housed at Montana State Prison as an Interstate Compact Transfer.  He was received at Montana State Prison on April 5, 2007.

John Gambrel
Montana State Prison inmate John Gambrel #29255, age 59, died on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Montana State Prison following an extended illness.
Mr. Gambrel was sentenced out of Flathead County on March 5, 1990 for Deliberate Homicide Committed with a Dangerous Weapon.  He received a total sentence of 110 years to Montana State Prison. His parole eligibility date was 08/07/06.  His prison discharge date was 12/13/2044.
