Harvey L. Marshall Harvey L. Marshall embarked on his latest road trip on Thursday, November 26, 2015. He passed after a brief fight with cancer and an extended battle with multiple lung illnesses. Harvey was born on January 15, 1939 to Harold and Agnes Marshall. He was raised in the Avon and Elliston area and graduated from Powell County High School Class of 1957. He married the one and only love of his life, Barbara Sparing on June 11, 1960. He and Barbara shared 48 years together until her passing on June 20, 2008. They raised two children, Kathy and Doug. Harvey and Barb owned and operated Hobart Sales and subsequently D & H Valley Storage. He worked hard his entire life and knew the value of that labor. Harvey was very proud of his three grandchildren Kelsey, Kelan and Justin. He would also include in the family every single German Shepherd that lived in his house or Kathy’s. He often spoke of his long eared, long nosed grandsons. They were his “partners.” Harvey is survived by his daughter Kathy (Rob) Bean, son Doug Marshall, grandchildren Kelsey (Jason) Peaslee, Kelan Farry and Justin Marshall. His sister Doris (Doug) Crachy, nephew Travis (April) Jess (Tara), and Paige Brazill. His extended family Rhonda, John and Shelby Schaffer, Tyler (Jessica) Pipinich, Karen Lindquist, and Miranda and Jacob Prevel. This would not be complete without a special acknowledgement to Harvey and Barbara’s lifelong friend Sara Morris. Sara shared her life with Harvey and Barbara and it is impossible to describe the importance she held in their lives. Bless you Sara. A viewing will be held from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave., with a reception to follow the service at Jorgenson’s Restaurant, 1720 11th Ave. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project or the local Helena Kiwanis, PO Box 4178, Helena, MT 59604. Harvey had an infectious smile, a great sense of humor and used both constantly. If you could not laugh around Harvey you could not laugh at all. He will be missed.
