Galen L. Horswill Sr.
Galen L. Horswill Sr., 88, of Deer Lodge, passed away peacefully February 22, 2019 in the Deer Lodge Rehabilitation and Care home. He was born March 24, 1930 in Hamlin County, S.D. to Philp and Lucille Horswill. He was educated in the Nanison N.D. area, where his family moved to when he was a boy. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Virgilee Pardeu, June of 1959 in Deer Lodge. Virgie passed away February 1986. Galen married Betty DeRozier in 2001. They lived in Minnesota. Betty passed away August, 2018. He is proceeded in death by both of his wives, father, mother, brothers and sisters. Along with lots of cousins and friends. He is survived by two sons: Galen Jr. (Donna) of Deer Lodge and Mike (Angie) of Havre; daughter: Shawna Horswill-Tadvick (Robert) of Monroe, Wash.; two sisters: Lavonne Radneicki and Blanche Gill of Apache Junction, Ariz.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Jewell Funeral Home in Deer Lodge, Wednesday, February 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Christ Fellowship Church, Thursday February 28 at 11 a.m. The Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Deer Lodge with a luncheon following at the church.
