Hazel Frankie Turner Hazel Frankie Turner, 87, passed away peacefully in Helena on January 14, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born in Lodgepole on May 10, 1930, the daughter of Julia and Frank Hutchins. As a young girl, she lived in East Glacier, Harlem and Wisdom. Hazel attended high school in Dillon. After moving to Deer Lodge in 1956, Hazel worked at the 4-B’s restaurant for 35 years. She enjoyed family gatherings, playing pinochle with her circle of friends, and spending time with her close friend Yvonne Hanson and her husband Duane. Hazel is survived by sons William (Sheryl) Wood and Frank (Jan) Thompson, sisters Darlene (Don) Probert and Belle Licht, brothers Joe (Donna) and Alvin Gladeau, sister-in-law Sandy Hutchins, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by grandchildren Hilary (Jason) McCall, Ben (Stacey) Wood, Mat (Ewa) Adams, Stephanie (Brian) Ricks, and great-grandchildren Jace, Reagan, Kylee, and Brycen. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Turner, special friend Wally Beck, brothers Chuck Hutchins, Buddy Jackson, Bobby Lawrence, David Gladeau, Henry Gladeau and sister Carol Gladeau. Hazel’s family would like to thank those who made her life special including Howard and Jarita Neckels, Mike and Jean Steber, Polly Green, the staff at Deer Lodge Medical Center, Senior Center, Council on Aging, and all the rest of her friends and neighbors. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Deer Lodge First Baptist Church with Howard Neckels officiating. A private family interment was held at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Linda Pearson passed Friday, January 19, 2018. Services will be in Deer Lodge at Assembly of God on Friday, January 26. 11 a.m. viewing, 1 p.m. service, followed by burial and luncheon.
