Dorothy Emily (Moughton) Holm Dorothy Emily Moughton was born in Butte, April 23, 1936, to Thomas and Dorothy Moughton, and lived in Butte until she married Arthur E. Holm, in 1955 and moved to Deer Lodge, where she has resided ever since. Dorothy was a devoted wife, and as an only child, worked hard to see that their children valued family and biblical principles. In the early years of her marriage she worked alongside Arthur helping to build a house and home where she lived until her passing. The Bible and Christian faith were important in her life and home. She held Child Evangelism Good News Clubs on Wednesdays after school, helped with their in-home Sunday School program, and served as an AWANA leader at Mt. Powell Baptist Church. She was active in the local Christian Women’s Club from 1972–1988, hosting meetings for fellowship and encouragement for local women, and also held a chair position at one point. Many Bible studies were hosted in her home, and she was greatly involved in the Deer Lodge Crisis Pregnancy Center. Dorothy Emily Holm, 81, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 5 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by family. Words cannot express the great love and sense of loss felt by her family at her passing. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Holm in 2015 and her stepdaughter Janette Parrish in 2017.
