Jennie Arlene (Rintala) Wood
Jennie Arlene (Rintala) Wood, 87, peacefully passed away in Gering, Nebr.  She was born on April 25, 1930, in Red Lodge, daughter of John and Hilda Rintala.  Jennie was raised in the Fox Bench area and graduated from Carbon County High School in Red Lodge.  United in marriage to Willis W. Wood on June 5, 1949, they lived in Billings and Butte before settling in Deer Lodge.
Jennie loved to raise flowers, especially roses.  She loved cooking, working with beads, and sewing beautiful quilts.  Willis and Jennie loved to camp, fish, see rodeos, and ride horses, as well as hang out with family and friends.  She enjoyed being with her children and  grandchildren.  She worked as a cook for the Deer Lodge Catholic nuns and worked in the potato cellars, but spent most of her life working to take care of her family.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Deer Lodge, Deer Lodge Woman’s Club, Deer Lodge Quilting Club, the Deer Lodge Saddle Club, Finnish Kaleva, and the Gering United Methodist Church of Gering, Nebr.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents (John and Hilda Rintala), her husband (Willis Wilfred Wood), sisters Elma Berg, Fannie Koski, and Elsie Nimmo, and brothers Eli, Arthur, Charlie, and Al.
Survivors include her children, Judy Johannsen of Scottsbluff, Nebr., and Walter Wood of Santa Clara, Calif.  Her grandchildren include Brian Gregg, William Johannsen, Denise Wood, Kerrie Wood, and Katie Wood.  She has one great-granddaughter, Abigail Gregg.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m.  Friday, March 30, at the Smith-Olcott Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge.  Interment will follow in the Red Lodge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be sent to the Deer Lodge Elks #1737, P.O. Box 777, Deer Lodge, MT 59722-0777.

Roberta (Bobbi) Ann Patton, April 14, 1942-March 21, 2018.
Bobbi Ann Patton, 75, passed away peacefully March 21, 2018 in Helena at St. Peters Health. She was born April 14, 1942 to Robert and Hazel Thompson.
Bobbi attended grade school in Elliston, and graduated from Powell County High School. Upon graduation she worked at Taylor Tipling Insurance, until marrying Wallace Patton on September 24, 1960. They enjoyed 57 years together. With this union they were blessed with four daughters. Bobbi later worked for the Forest Service planting trees. She really enjoyed her time as a “Timber Jill”, along with many of her friends from Elliston. She later worked at Fort Harrison. She worked in many departments, before becoming the seamstress. Upon retirement she became a full time grandmother, in which she cared for her “honorary” grandchildren Rooster & Pepper Pennington. She spent her free time enjoying water aerobics at the Broadwater Health Club where she met lots of wonderful friends.
Mom’s greatest love was her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love in cooking is shown with her large collection of cookbooks. She never let anyone go hungry in her house.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Hazel Thompson, a sister Celeste and grand-daughter Alyssa Brooke Kovash. Bobbi is survived by her husband, Wallace Patton; daughters Gina (Paul) Albert, Renee (Cal) Stucky, Kristi (Bill) Baker, and Kathi Jo Patton.
