![]() Natalie “Tootsie” Hendricks Jan. 25, 1931 - Mar. 21, 2016 Natalie “Tootsie” (Tomich) Hendricks, 85, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2016. Tootsie, the second of three children, was born January 25, 1931 to John and Donnie (Lean) Tomich. Tootsie was a proud graduate of the Butte High Class of 1950. She had a great love of Butte and that is where she met and married the love of her life. Tootsie married Donald Hendricks on Feb. 18, 1956. They began married life in Butte, but later moved to Deer Lodge where they raised their four children. Tootsie, an avid golfer, was a founding member of the Deer Lodge Country Club and a member and past president of the ladies golf association. She was active in the Serbian Orthodox Church, a member of Easter Star, worked with the Deer Lodge Hospital Auxiliary and in later years, proudly became a business woman selling Mary Kay Cosmetics. Tootsie loved to travel especially if it involved visiting her family. She traveled all over the US and visited at least seven foreign countries. Tootsie enjoyed her activities, her life, but nothing could compare with the most important thing to her - her love for family and friends. She was a selfless wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. No one met her without seeing her big beautiful smile; no one left her house hungry and everyone felt her love. If a successful, meaningful life is measured by what we leave behind in the hearts of others, Tootsie’s was more than successful. Tootsie was preceded in death by her beloved parents and brother, Tom “Tucker” Tomich. She is survived by her “Sweetheart” of 60 years, Donald Hendricks of Deer Lodge; son, Tom (Cindy) Hendricks of Marysville, Wash.; son, Ken (Lori) Hendricks of Casper, Wyo.; son, Jim (Lisa) Hendricks of Allen, Tex.; daughter, Jill (Keith) Dixon of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister, Joann (Ken) Finstad of Cut Bank; eight much loved granddaughters, two great-grandchildren, beloved nephews, nieces and cousins. Services to be held at a later date. Comments are closed.
