Rose E. Cahoon
Rose E. Cahoon, 78, of Drummond, widow of Jack Cahoon, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her home on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.  Rose was born March 21, 1936 in Missoula.  Her parents were Ernest Tubbs and Annah E. Geary Tubbs.   She grew up and attended school in Drummond and Missoula.  Rose was married in 1952 and soon had four children.  As an adult she made her home in Montana, Kansas, Washington and Nevada.  She held several management and trainer positions.  On August 9, 1986 she married Jack Cahoon.  She moved back to Drummond in 1991 and lived there until her passing.
Rose was proud of her 20 years of service as an EMT on the Drummond Volunteer Ambulance. She loved learning about health issues in order to help those around her.   She served on the Drummond City Council.  She enjoyed traveling, listening to music and loved to dance.  Her many friends were an important part of her life and she loved her dogs Roxie and Riley (the girls).  In her later years her greatest joy was spending time with her mother.  She was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many.  Her smile and laugh lit up the room and she brought joy to our hearts.  We will miss our sweet mom, aunt, grandma and friend and comforted in the fact that we will see her again.
Rose is survived by her two children Loren Roth of Tulsa, Okla. and Susan Lou Ann Engelbach of Tulsa, Okla.; her stepdaughter Jennye (Larry Shearer) Cahoon of De Kalb, Tex.; her four sisters Betty Lu (Steve) Smith of Moses Lake, Wash.; Carol Ann Wertz of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Merri Joyce (Jim) Henderson of Drummond; Mikey (Gary) Wilmonen of Missoula, and Kathy June (Billy) Estes of Kalispell; her brother Richard G. Tubbs of Palmer, Alaska.
Grandchildren are Victoria (Brad) Morrissey, with great-grandchildren Ashley (Chris) Elmore with great-great-granddaughter Sophia Rose, Samuel Ratcliffe and Trevor Morrissey; Eric (Lea) Roth with great-granddaughter Kendall Roth; Adrienne (Xavier) Mendoza with great-grandchildren Olivia and Oscar Mendoza; Michael (Jennifer) Roth with great-granddaughters Avery and Aspen Roth; Mathew Engelbach with great-grandson Isaak Johnson; Katrinna Caudill with great-granddaughter Chevelle Hill.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Cahoon, her parents Ernest Tubbs and Annah E. Geary Tubbs, a sister Lucretia May Denman, two brothers Ernest Sonny Tubbs and Clifford E. Tubbs and two sons Larry Roth and Robert (Bobby) Roth.
She was an aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the Drummond Community Center, with refreshments and grave side services to follow at 3 p.m. at the Helmville Cemetery.
