Jeri Lynn Harris Shank Jeri Lynn Harris Shank, age 62, formerly of Polson, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Deer Lodge Medical Center in Deer Lodge. She was born on January 17, 1952 in Omaha, Nebr., the daughter of Jerome Robert and Donna Joyce (Marshall) Harris. She attended grade school in Omaha and attended and graduated from high school in Maryland. She continued her education at Western State College in Gunnison, Colo. receiving a degree in elementary education. She loved spending time with her family and being around people and being in social settings. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Diane Carter and her husband Duane of Bamberg, S.C.; her brother Edwin Harris of New River, Ariz.; and sisters, Judith Harrell of Whitefish, and Donna Kay Palmer and husband William of Las Cruces, N.M. and numerous nieces and nephews. There are no services planned at this time for Jeri. Arrangements are under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory. Hartman, 72, was born in Butte August 3, 1942, the son of Hubert and Alice Hartman. He passed away Friday, September 5, 2014, at St. Pat Hospital in Missoula. Ben received his elementary and high school education in Bozeman, graduating in 1962. Upon graduating, he attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. After receiving his degree he accepted a position for the Idaho State Department of Transportation. At a later date, he purchased a mercantile store in Dixon. He owned and operated the store for 15 years. Deciding it was time for a change he moved to Deer Lodge and purchased “Ben’s Arena Bar and Casino” which he operated until the time of his passing. Ben’s favorite past time was riding his Harley. This hobby took him to many different places throughout the country and he established many lasting friendships. He was known to quote “that life is full of endless highways.” He is survived by his soul mate of 19 years, Marilyn Walker, along with her two children, Lori and Chad, and his grandchildren, Cash, Rikki (his favorite granddaughter), and Trace. He also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Pam and Marie, numerous nephews and nieces, and very special friends. Per his request there will be no services. Julia Jane Goldie passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Seattle, Wash. Services will be Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Deer Lodge.
